My life-long interest in painting started in my schooldays but it was not until I retired from legal practice in Bristol that I was able to attend art school and paint professionally.
The first public display of my work was when my gouache painting of The Wooded Path was selected for inclusion in the Stockport & District Art Exhibition in March 1954.
Since becoming a professional artist I have exhibited in many galleries nationwide, including The Mall Galleries in London and The Gallery, Holt in North Norfolk.
My work explores enjoyable personal experiences and celebrates the times in which we live.
I have tutored artists for many years, running regular classes and workshops as well as giving one-to-one guidance. My articles about painting have been published in magazines, including International Artist, Artists & Illustrators and The Artist.
I am a former President and now a Fellow of the Institute of East Anglian Artists.
